NGC4438/4435 Markarian's Eyes
Taken on April 2nd, 2013, NGC 4438 and NGC4435 are often referred to as Markarian's Eyes being to closely linked galaxies in Markarian's chain. This galaxy shows a highly distorted disk with long tidal tail in the direction of NGC 4435, which suggests both a tidal interaction with the NGC4435 and the effects of ram-pressure stripping as NGC 4438 moves at high speed through Virgo's intracluster medium.
