This image of SH2 284 was taken on January 30th 2017 from my Creedmoor site. This large object is often over looked because of SH2-275, also known by its common name Rosette Nebula. It has nice structure with a couple of darker areas. The open star cluster known as Dolidze 25 sits mostly in the middle of the nebula. The image was taken with a 7nm Ha filter.
